Tack Marking

Please email sussexhwatch@aol.com for details of Sussex Horsewatch's next tack marking session.

Chris Aegerter Tandridge Rural Affairs Officer from Surrey has now retired and been replaced by Nick Shrapel who is doing an excellent job co-operating with Sussex Horsewatch and informing us of the equine related crime in that area.  To join our extensive emailing list to be informed of both local and national equine crime, email us.

Anyone in the Surrey area who would like their saddles marked, please email us and we can pass the request on to Nick.

Equine, Farm and Agricultural Equipment Marking

Trailers, tractors, quad bikes and agricultural equipment are frequently stolen. The Sussex Police through their Crime Prevention Officers can mark eqipment for you using
'Smart Water'.
Marking your property acts as a great deterrent to thieves.

Considerable amounts of equipment are recovered by the police, but most is not returned to the rightful owner because there is no way of identifying who it belongs to. Marking your property will ensure that if it is found you will get it back. If you would like to mark larger items that are likely to be stolen, please contact your local Crime Prevention Officer - each District has one.

Dramatic reductions in offences of theft and burglary have been recorded in other parts of the country by using Smart Water's technology to combat crime.

General advice on a wide range of measures that you can take to deter crime and keep your equines safe is available as a download on this link.
