There have been numerous reports in the Parham, Bramber and Steyning areas in the past few days regarding Irish people visiting rural properties and farms and offering 'cheap' power tools for sale. The vehicles involved are Transit vans:
1) White Ford transit van VRM CN54UYJ
2) Blue Ford Transit van VRM 05LD872
Please report incidents of this type to the police immediately on 0845 60 70 999. The police need to stop these persons and their vehicles and thoroughly check them out.

These two donkey mares went missing form their home on 17.10.05
Molly and Rosie were much loved family pets and are sorely missed.
Their owners and friends have put up a substantial reward for their safe return.

The Police in Kent are keen to trace the following vehicles in relation to a number of tack thefts across Kent and Sussex:
1) A silver coloured Land Rove Discovery with an 'M' registration
2) A white Ford Fiesta 3 door hatchback registration number given as H712DKR

Farm buildings were burgled at greatham near Pulborough yesterday afternoon, 13th September 2005. A yellow pressure washer was stolen. Serial 1386 13/09/05 refers.

The red Toyota pick up outstanding from the ram raid on the HSBC bank in Steyning High Street and police still believe that it may have been hidden on farmland or in remote outbuildings. Police are repeating their request for farmers to search and find this vehicle. If found please do not touch it - it needs to be preserved for forensic examination. Operation Venom - Serial 363 of 10/09/05 refers.

Amberley Road, Parham

On Friday 2nd September an attempt was made to gain acccess to a large farm workshop at a Farm watch member's land near Parham. Ebtry was not made to the barn as it is thought that workers arriving early to work disturbed their crminal activity. If you saw any suspicious activity please contcat the police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial number 351 of 02/09/05.

Over the weekend 2nd to 4th September an attempt was made to gain access to an unoccupied farm building in Georges Lane Storrington. Serial 1697 of 04/09/05 refers.

Littleworth, Near Partridge Green

A green Land Rover TDI registration number L710TPN was seen making off from a farm in Littleworth Lane with a quantity of copper pipe beloging to a local plumber. This vehicle is being driven by a gaunt looking man aged about 70 years with a young companion with a round face and chubby features. This vehicle has been seen several times previously on this farm, and sometimes with a trailer. This vehicle has been checked by Police no less than 28 times since 10th June, mainly in Kent and East Sussex. If anyone sees it ring 999 and quote serial number 851:02:09:05

Stolen horse solarium from Woodmancote

A £15k horse solarium has been stolen from a farm at Woodmancote. This is a highly unusual item is used for treating injured horses. It is unlikley to be offered for sale second hand and is not generally offered for sale - it is usually ordered direct from the manufacturers. If anyone comes across such an item for sale, please let PC Paul Rolland at Steyning know. Please quote crime reference no NH2/4407/05

Shipley Area

Between 10.30pm on Saturday 13th August and 8.30pm on Monday 15th August thieves broke into an outbuilding at a farm in Shipley by cutting a padlock and removing a wooden beam, stealing a ride-on lawnmower and hedge trimmer.

Small Dole Area

Between 7pm on Tuesday 16th August and 8.15am on Wednesday 17th August a quad bike, bike trailer and alloys were stolen from rural premises. The quad bike is described as a red Foreman with a black seat which has a tear. The bike trailer could hold three bikes and was silver aluminium and the alloys were 14inch wolf race.

Ashurst Area

In Horsham Road, Ashurst a member of the public encountered two men on his property both described as being over 6ft and of large build in their mid thirties. When challenged they claimed to have taken a 'wrong turning' looking for the farm next door. They were then observed driving a red modern van, registration no. P401 PSX along Horsham Road entering different properties.

Praham Area

A farm in Amberley Road, Parham received a visit from two men with irish accents selling generators. The vehicle they were using was a White Mercedes Sprinter Van index no. DAZ 1106 and is described as being stacked to the roof with generators. Please make sure all equipment is kept secure when you are not using it and report any incidents of suspicious people or vehicles on 0845 60 70 999.

Beachy Head, East Sussex

Horse equipment worth nearly £20,000 taken from local farm, Beachy Head: Sussex Police are appealing for information following a burglary which occurred at a farm on the Beachy Head Road overnight on the evening of Friday, July 8 and sometime before 7am on Saturday July 9. A large quantity of horse equipment believed to be worth nearly £20,000, including 20 saddles and 30 bridles, were taken along with various tools and electrical equipment. An aluminium trailer was also taken from the barn and police believe this may have been used to transport the equipment away from the scene. The barns are in an isolated position and it is believed the offenders would have been in a 4 x 4 or similar vehicle. The owners of the farm are offering a reward of £1000.00 for information leading to the return of the stolen property and/or information which directly leads to an arrest and successful prosecution of the offenders. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on the night of July 8 or anyone with information to contact DC Ross Bartlett, Eastbourne CID on 0845 60 70 999 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Stolen 5th August from Biggar, Lanarkshire. Maverick - jet black, no white but coat has brownish tinge on hair ends, 10 weeks old, miniature Shetland colt, approx. 19inches high. He is unweaned. Any information to Sergeant Ian Bell, Lanarkshire P.S. 01555 552400.

Stolen Ibex Carriage & Bateson Horse Box

Eyes down for the following items were stolen from a farm at Handcross Mid Sussex a few days ago. Stolen was a Bateson 'Derby 44' trailer which contained an Ibex driving carriage. if you think you know where they might be contact the police and quote crime reference number NM1/5277/05
